    Q. What does the license permit me to do?

The Applet can be used for an unlimited number of Web sites residing on a single server and for an unlimited number of users. The spelling applet is licensed ‘per server’. Multiple servers require multiple licenses.

    Q. Can words be added to the dictionary?

Yes. Both the developer and the user may create custom dictionaries. The Applet will check a word’s spelling against all open dictionaries.

    Q. Are industry Spellex dictionaries supported?

Unfortunately, industry dictionaries (such as Spellex Medical) are not supported by the Spellex Spell Check Applet. If your application requires industry dictionaries, you may want to consider one of our other products (e.g., JavaSDK).

    Q. Does the Applet offer replacements for misspellings?

Yes. The Applet looks up suggestions for misspellings.

    Q. Is some knowledge of programming required?

Using the Spell Check Applet with an HTML form involves a small amount of JavaScript programming.

    Q. Does Spellex offer technical support?

Our current policy provides free e-mail support with no fixed time limits for all customers. Our technical support representatives are prepared to spend a reasonable amount of time helping you resolve problems related to integrating our products with your software. We are well known for speedy response times with accurate solutions for your technical support inquiries.

    Q. How do I upgrade my software?

Feel free to contact us and inquire about software upgrades. Annual maintenance contracts are also available to keep your software updated with any upgrades released by Spellex.

    Q. Does the dictionary provide definitions?

The current version of the Spell Check Applet contains only word lists.

    Q. Why should we choose to license Spellex?

    • Spellex has been the acknowledged leader in software spell checking solutions since 1988. That is one reason why thousands of the world's most successful companies rely on Spellex for fast, accurate spell checking.
