User dictionaries				The flexibility of the user dictionaries allows you to add your own words to any number of user dictionaries. Words can be added to or removed from user dictionaries at run time. Words included in these dictionaries may be offered as suggestions for misspelled words. Dictionaries are also editable through our built-in dialog box or your own dialog box.

Check spelling in the background, "as you type"				Similar to the "as you type" spell check feature in Microsoft Office, this feature allows spelling errors to be detected in "real time" by marking misspelled words as the user types.

Auto-Correct				Automatically or conditionally replaces one word for another -- e.g., replace recieve with receive. A dictionary containing hundreds of common English misspellings and their correct replacements is included. Abbreviations can also be expanded using this feature -- e.g., replace MS with Microsoft.

Intelligent suggestions for misspelled words				Contains the power to locate suggested spelling replacements using either a typographical (looks like) matching, phonetic (sounds like) matching, or both. These suggestions are scored by the degree of closeness with the misspelled word and the list of suggestions is returned in descending score order.

Case sensitive				The case sensitivity feature in the Spellex ActiveX Spelling Engine detects incorrect capitalization (e.g., france instead of France) and reports it as a misspelling. However, case sensitivity can be disabled if necessary by changing a simple run-time option setting.

Doubled word detection				Repeated word usage (e.g. Florida in the the summer) is detected through the ActiveX Spelling Engine, minimizing grammatical errors.

Text source flexibility				Gives the user the ability to spell check the contents of standard text boxes and rich-text boxes, including CEdit, TEdit, CRichEdit, and TRichEdit controls. Misspelled words are highlighted, then chosen corrections are updated automatically. Spell checking can be performed in text strings containing one word or thousands of words.

Undo feature				This feature gives the user the option to undo previous user corrections by simply calling one single method.

Misspelled word handling				Allows the user to activate the "ignore all" and "replace all" features when handling unique words.

User interface options				Use our built-in spell check dialog box, write your own user interface, or check spelling without using an interface. The built-in dialog box allows the user to set common spell check options.
