When trying to activate my license, I receive a message "Spellex website couldn't be contacted"

This issue is present in older versions of the Spellex installer. You can manually remove the reminder from your system by following the steps below.

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click General in the sidebar.
  2. Click Login Items & Extensions. (You may need to scroll down.)
  3. Click the Spellex item to select it.
  4. Click the – button on the bottom of the Login Items list.
  5. The Spellex reminder will be removed.
